General Chiropractic Questions

What is a chiropractic adjustment?

A chiropractic adjustment is a precise, controlled technique used to improve joint movement and function. During an adjustment, a chiropractor applies a specific force to a restricted or dysfunctional joint to help restore normal motion, reduce stiffness, and improve overall mobility.

Is chiropractic care safe?

Yes. Chiropractic is widely recognized as one of the safest drug-free, non-invasive therapies available for neuro-musculoskeletal complaints. We perform thorough assessments to ensure every treatment is appropriate for your specific condition.

Do I need a referral from a doctor?

No referral is necessary. Chiropractors are primary contact providers, meaning you can book an appointment directly. If our assessment indicates you need co-management, we will refer you to the appropriate specialist.

What happens during the first visit?

We start with a thorough history and physical exam to understand your performance goals and health history. Based on the findings, we discuss a customized treatment plan often involving same-day care to start your recovery. Additionally, we do offer X-rays if needed.

Dry Needling

What are the benefits of dry needling? Dry needling is a treatment that uses thin, sterile needles to target tight muscles, trigger points, and areas of dysfunction within soft tissues. It is designed to help reduce pain, improve muscle function, and support the body's natural healing processes.

Do you take insurance?

No, Motion+ Chiropractic is a cash-based practice. This allows us to provide transparent pricing and personalized treatment without insurance restrictions on our services. We do offer Superbills and a step-by-step guide on how to submit them to your insurance for possible reimbursement.

What is a Superbill?

A Superbill is a detailed receipt provided after your visit that includes the necessary diagnosis and procedure codes. You can submit this to your insurance company for potential out-of-network reimbursement, depending on your specific plan's benefits.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit and debit cards, cash, and Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flexible Spending Account (FSA) payments. Payment is due at the time of service to ensure transparent and simple billing.
